Terms of Service
By using PixTools you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The service
PixTools provides free, no-account browser tools: background removal, image cropping, quality enlarge (Lanczos resampling and sharpening — not generative AI), and QR code generation. Features can change or pause without notice. There is no paid service-level agreement.
License to use the site
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the public website for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these terms. You may not copy the product as a competing service, scrape the site in a way that degrades it, or reverse-engineer models we do not own (the background-removal model is provided by IMG.LY under its license).
Your content and intellectual property
You keep all rights to images and text you process. Output files are created on your device. PixTools does not claim ownership of your photos or generated QR codes. You represent that you have the right to process the files you upload into the browser and that your use will not infringe others’ rights.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the tools for illegal content or to harm others.
- Do not attack, overload, or probe the site except through a coordinated disclosure to hello@pixtools.app.
- Do not encode QR codes that impersonate brands you do not represent or that lead to malware or fraud.
- Do not misrepresent PixTools results as generative AI upscaling.
No warranties
The site and tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Background removal can leave artifacts. Enlargement does not invent missing detail. QR scans depend on contrast, print size, and the destination URL remaining valid.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixTools and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from use of the tools. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to zero US dollars, because the service is free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the minimum required by law.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify PixTools against claims arising from your content or your violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
Changes to the terms
We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. If you have questions, use Contact. Privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. Additional caveats are on the Disclaimer page.
