Who we are

PixTools is a small, independent web product. It is not a division of Canva, Adobe, Photopea, Google, or IMG.LY. We ship four utilities people actually search for, keep the interface plain, and tell you when a feature is “good enough enlarge” rather than magic.

Mission

Make everyday image chores — cut out a subject, crop an avatar, enlarge a PNG, make a QR code — possible without uploading your gallery to a cloud editor. Processing for the core tools happens on your device. We would rather be accurate than trendy.

Honesty about the upscaler

The PixTools upscaler uses Lanczos resampling and sharpening. It is not generative AI. It will not hallucinate eyelashes or fabric weave the way paid AI upscalers do. How we build (and what we skip)

The site is a Next.js app. Crop, enlarge, and QR generation use the browser canvas. Background removal uses an on-device model that your tab downloads once. There is no login and no photo archive. We do not currently run advertising or analytics scripts. If that changes, we will say so in the Privacy Policy first.

We will not claim generative AI upscaling, hide a download behind a signup wall, or pretend to be Canva or Adobe. Useful how-tos live under Guides.
